  • Redlynch Safari Supper 2017 Posted on 09 February 2017

This year's Safari Supper wil take place on Friday 9th June.  Enjoy an evening meal, meet some new people from the village and raise funds!

The Safari Supper will begin with hosts and guests meeting for pre-dinner drinks and canapés on Lover Green, followed by main course and pudding served from different host homes.  The Lover Green Committee are kindly organising the pre-dinner drinks and canapes.  Guests will have each course served in a different home with a different set of guests. Guests will make a donation (ideally a minimum of £16 a head) and will donate 2 bottles of wine per couple to be delivered to the hosts of the main course.  We're hoping to attract some 'virgin' hosts and for this 'co-hosting' might be a good option. Two couples based at one house share the work and expense of entertaining 4, 6 or 8 guests.  Of course you are welcome to host independently too and this would again work for 4, 6 or 8 guests!

If you are happy to be a host and donate your time, home and a meal for your guests please let us know. At each course a new set of guests will arrive and hopefully it will be an opportunity to catch up with old friends and to meet some new people.  Last year there 103 people participating. This was made up of 34 hosts with 68 guests whizzing around the village.

Profits raised will be donated to The Old School, the Pre-School and Lover Green. If you would like to sign up as a ‘host’ or go on the waiting list to be a ‘guest’ please contact:  Julie Kaye (01725 511944 or or Tory Robinson (01725 510430 or

Wine - The Lover Green Committee will take pre orders from guests and hosts for bottles of wine for the evening. Hosts can collect these by arrangement and guests are welcome to collect their orders on the evening at the pre-dinner drinks on Lover Green. A full selection of wine with prices will follow.
