  • Remembrance Day Posted on 26 October 2019

    Act of Remembrance 2019

    Remembrance Day this year will fall on Sunday 10 November.

    The parade assembly will be at Reeds Corner at 09.45 Moving off at 0950 “sharp”, to accommodate the services at Quavey and Bowers Hill memorials and the Remembrance Service in St Birinus Church.  This year we are walking uphill !

    We will as always be accompanied by the Woodfalls Band.  We plan to be at St Birinus’ by 10.45 allowing the Band time to set up in Church and everyone to be seated for 11am.

    Please join us for the Parade, or Act of Remembrance, at the Memorial nearest to you.  Service sheets will be available on the route and in St Birinus Church.  You are welcome to join the memorial services and those who wish will be invited to lay personal crosses or crosses for any long lost relative or family connection.

    Please note Wiltshire Council have authorised road closures along the route of the Parade.  The closure is for the minimal time and your assistance and patience will be appreciated.
